Friday


It was a fantastic Friday in Mrs. Harvath’s class!



Ask your child to tell you about:

-The BCS scavenger hunt

-How to fill someone’s bucket

-Swimming!

-Choice Hour



***Our class will be swimming every Tuesday and Friday from 12:15 to 1:00 through September 28th. Please send in with your child his or her swimsuit, a towel, goggles and any necessary toiletries (brush, comb, etc.). Some families also send in flip flops or sandals to wear in the showers (optional).



School Picture Day - Tuesday, September 11th - Your online order must be made prior to Picture Day (schoolpictures.com - school ID AA0201) or you can send in a check or money order for the exact amount with the order form to school that day. Per the photo flyer for online orders, make sure that you print out your receipt and send it to school on picture day.



****HOMEWORK****

Language Arts:

-Please remember to read at home: 20 minutes for 3rd graders, 30 minutes for 4th graders

-Please bring in a book for DEAR Time (independent silent reading). We don’t start checking books out from the Media Center for two weeks.

-Decorate your writer’s notebook- due Monday



Math:

3rd grade- Home Link 1.1, Journal pg. 2, games on wiki 1.1 (see link) http://hm12.wikis.birmingham.k12.mi.us/Mrs.+Mali%27s+Math+Workshop




4th grade- Finish math journal pages 2 and 5

Tuesday


It was a terrific Tuesday in Mrs. Harvath’s class!

We had a wonderful beginning to the school year! The first day was amazing!!!!!! It was a busy day, full of many activities and details. I was excited to see all of the new friendships that were being formed in just one short day.

It was fun to go to our Town Hall meeting this morning and meet with Mrs. Chinn and Mr. Bishop. We also went to a bus family meeting to get to know some of the kids that we will be riding our bus.

It was a perfect first day!
