Friday

It was a fantastic Friday in Mrs. Harvath's class!
This morning we completed our All About Me posters and played a really fun “Get to know you” activity with balloons.
Today we also went to art class with Mr. Melton.
This afternoon we got to play on the laptops and create a locker sign using Wordle. We really like these locker signs because they tell everyone about our character traits.
It was an amazing day!
Have a great weekend!

Wednesday

It was a Wonderful Wednesday in Mrs. Harvath's class!
Today we read a great story called Mr. Peabody's Apples. This book contained a great lesson about being careful with the words we say because words are hard to take back once they are said.
We also started our first day of math! The 3rd graders went to Mrs. Mali’s class and were excited to meet some new friends. The 4th graders picked up right where they left off, and were anxious to get back to work. The 3rd and 4th graders will all be coming home with an older edition student reference book. Please keep this book at home and use it as a guide for at-home practice. The SRB books will be collected at the end of the year. The Home Links and Study Links books have not been distributed.
This afternoon we received our planners and learned how to fill them out. We also went to our first swim class and art class! This afternoon we also started reading the book Frindle by Andrew Clements.
It was an amazing day!

We had a wonderful beginning to the school year! The first day was amazing!!!!!! It was a busy day, full of many activities and details. I was excited to see all of the new friendships that were being formed in just one short day.
It was fun to go to our Town Hall meeting this morning and meet with Mr. Hartley, and to go to our bus family meeting to get to know some of the kids that we will be riding our bus.
A perfect first day!
