Calling all artists, photographers, dancers, composers, film makers and authors! It is time for Reflections! This program offers all BCS students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition.
The theme for 2011-2012 is “Diversity Means….”
Reflect on the theme. Create an original work. Be recognized!
Categories include: Film/Video Production, Dance Choreography, Musical Composition, Photography, Visual Arts and Literature.
This is a way to celebrate the many skills of our students and promote the pursuit of artistic expression. Please encourage all students to reflect on this theme and submit an original work! LANGUAGE ARTS:
- Paragraph Practice due Nov. 18 -3rd graders: Add to your wiki page, 4th graders, Create 2 pages on wiki and add assignment
–Read at home. 20 minutes for 3rd graders, 30 minutes for 4th graders
–Please bring in a book for DEAR Time (independent silent reading).
MATH:
-3rd grade: MJ pages 76 and 77, HL 3.9, test is Tuesday
-4th grade: Read the family letter for unit 4 and get it signed, MJ pages 79 and 81, SL 4.1 and 4.2

To get to a student’s BPS email:
1. Go to the BPS homepage at http://www.birmingham.k12.mi.us/
2. Hover over the “Parents/Students” link on the top menu bar. A drop down menu will appear.
3. In the drop down menu, click on “Student Links.”
4. Click on the “Microsoft Outlook 2007” icon:
5. A pop-up for username and password will appear. The student’s username must be entered with the full extension -- username@birmingham.k12.mi.us . The password is the same password the students uses to login at school.
